Litecoin wallet facilitates transactions made based on Litecoin.
Litecoin is a version of cyber currency much like the Bitcoin. This enables making payments to anyone in the world. The difference with Bitcoin is that it can be efficiently mined with consumer-grade hardware. It has decreased block generation time, increased maximum number of coins than Bitcoins, a different hashing algorithm, and a slightly modified GUI. Litecoin crossed the $1 billion in 2013. Litecoin creation and transfer is based on an open source protocol and is not managed by any central authority. What this software does is allow you access to a central repository where all your receipts and payments are accounted for and your current balance is held for further transactions. Payments made arrive instantly. This repository does not charge any fees. It is also totally anonymous and can be used from anywhere in the world.
Once you open an account here, you get access over the cloud. The interface is simple. Most people should be able to get used to it very easily. You are shown a summaries stats of your account in terms of total transactions, total sent, total received and final balance. On the left you have the menu for commands that will work with your account. These include send and receive Litecoin commands as well as address book and account settings. As far as the operations go this is like a central wallet for any kind of money, in this case it is the Litecoins. On the account side of the display, you see the details of all the transactions that are rolled up to the summary numbers displayed on top. This is a good tool if you are planning to use the currency for your financial transactions.
